Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising AoT Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising collaboration that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the formal statement, "An unusual encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret group.
The adventure centers on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an unique katana together with numerous objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This release also adds the game's newest no-cost story content, titled "The Mystery."
